Final Fantasy VII: Remake

Midgar’s story got expanded to be “long enough to be its own game”. Game is 2 discs large. They previewed the hybrid combat system where it’s real-time until you fill an ATB bar and enter a tactical mode that allows you to use abilities and spells. Even showed off a boss fight. Game still looks incredibly sexy. There was a new extended trailer that made me even a bit emotional despite having barely played the original. Game drops 3/3/20

Note: Small auditorium + rabid fans = lots of loud yelling

Final Fantasy VIII is back... remastered. Coming 2019

The [Marvel] Avengers trailer has the Avengers fighting a mysterious foe in San Francisco and dealing with the fallout from all the deaths. Nolan North is Iron Man/Tony Stark. Some in-engine clips look solid. The game is planned for multiple years of free updates and content, no lootboxes/p2w, and 4 player co-op. Avengers releases 5/15/20 for everything but Switch.

Grade: A | Summary: Engaging & Exciting For RPG Fans

Square Enix delivered a loaded line-up of games. Though some more actual gameplay clips would’ve been nice it did seem like there were lots of in-engine clips. FF7 and Avengers plus the energy of the crowd made this the presentation to beat.
